Mission
As the Department of Foreign Languages, our fundamental mission is to equip our students with the language skills necessary to communicate effectively in their academic, professional, and social lives. In line with this, we aim not only to develop their linguistic proficiency but also to enhance their critical thinking skills, increase their intercultural awareness, and nurture them into lifelong learners.
Our department creates student-centered learning environments and embraces a teaching approach that is sensitive to individual differences. We believe that language is not only a means of communication but also an arena for intellectual and cultural interaction. With this approach, we aim to contribute to the development of our students as effective, sensitive, and conscious individuals in both local and global contexts.
Vision
To be a dynamic and pioneering academic unit that embraces contemporary educational approaches, is recognized nationally and internationally, and prioritizes quality, innovation, and ethical values in foreign language education.
Our department aims to maximize students' language learning processes by effectively utilizing continuously evolving educational technologies and pedagogical approaches. At the same time, it views providing a multilingual and intercultural learning environment as a fundamental part of its vision, creating a space for intellectual interaction and collaboration for both teaching staff and students.
